The Dalí triangle from Barcelona

Three places tell Salvador Dalí’s life in the Empordà: the Theatre-Museum in Figueres, his house in Portlligat by Cadaqués, and the castle he gave Gala in Púbol. Here is how they fit together, what to book in advance and how we drive you there.

The three sites

Figueres, Portlligat and Púbol

Figueres

Dalí Theatre-Museum

The museum Dalí designed himself in his home town, where he is buried. The Dalí Foundation recommends booking tickets in advance. Transfers to Figueres.

Portlligat, Cadaqués

Salvador Dalí House-Museum

The fishermen’s huts Dalí turned into his home and studio. Visits are in small groups entering every 10 minutes and must be booked in advance. Transfers to Cadaqués.

Púbol, Baix Empordà

Gala Dalí Castle

The medieval castle Dalí bought for Gala, between Girona and the coast. It opens for a season each year: check the dates before planning.

Planning

One day or two

Figueres alone is an easy day from Barcelona: about an hour and three quarters each way. Adding Portlligat means another 45 minutes or so on the mountain road to Cadaqués, so many visitors sleep a night in Cadaqués or Roses and see both without rushing. Púbol is closer to Girona and fits best on the way to or from the middle coast.

Book the museum tickets first, with their time slots, and then the transfers around them. The official information and tickets are on the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation website.

What your price includes, and the rules in plain words

  • A fixed price, nothing hidden

The price you confirm includes the luggage you book, and it does not change with traffic. Only extras you ask for on the day, such as an extra stop or extra waiting, are agreed with the driver before setting off.

  • Meet and greet at arrivals

Your driver waits in the arrivals hall of Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 with a sign showing your name.

  • Flight tracking

We follow your flight in real time. If it lands early or late, the pick-up moves with it.

  • Free waiting time

60 minutes at the airport, 30 minutes at the cruise port or Sants Station, and 15 minutes at hotels and any other address.

  • Free changes and cancellation

Free with 24 hours’ notice or more, with a full refund. Changes need at least 3 hours’ notice, or 8 hours at weekends, on public holidays and the day before them.

  • Online payment and invoice

You pay securely online when you book, and you receive a VAT invoice in your name or your company’s name.

  • Child seats on request

Tell us the children’s ages when you book and the seats are fitted before pick-up, for a small supplement.

  • Up to 22 passengers per vehicle

From a saloon car to a 22-seat minibus. Larger groups travel in several vehicles that leave at the same time.
