The drive
Two hours, the last ones through the Empordà
From the airport it is motorway as far as the Empordà plain, then country roads past Palafrugell or Pals and up the hill to Begur. The whole trip is usually just under two hours. In summer the final climb into the village is slow in the late afternoon, when beach traffic comes back up from the coves.
Begur is a destination where the vehicle matters. A saloon car or a minivan reaches almost any door; a 14-seat minibus does not always fit in the lanes down to Sa Tuna or Aiguafreda. That is why we ask for the exact address and choose the vehicle with it in mind.
The coast
From Blanes to Cadaqués, one fixed price
We drive the whole coast and the towns inland, always with Barcelona at the other end of the trip. Door to door, straight to your hotel, villa or campsite. Tap a town to see its page.

Where we drop you off
The village and the coves below it
Begur village
The old streets below the castle, with small hotels and the colonial houses built by emigrants who came back from Cuba.
Sa Riera and Sa Tuna
Sa Riera, the widest beach, to the north; Sa Tuna and Aiguafreda, two tiny coves at the end of a steep road.
Aiguablava and Fornells
The turquoise cove of Aiguablava and the small harbour of Fornells, with hotels and villas on the cliffs.
Villas and developments
Homes on the hillsides around the village. If your lane is narrow, we agree the drop-off point with you in advance.
Good to know
Summer access to the coves
In July and August parking near the coves of Begur is very limited and some access roads are regulated. A transfer drops you at your accommodation, not in a car park, which is one of the reasons many villa guests book one. For day trips to the beaches during your stay, ask your host about the local shuttle buses.
In early September Begur celebrates its Cuban heritage with a fair of the «Indians», as the returned emigrants were called. The village fills up and the streets of the centre close to traffic, so plan pick-ups those days with us.
Who travels with us
Villa groups and wedding guests
Many visitors to Begur rent a villa together: two or three families, or a group of friends. Up to 14 people travel in one vehicle, or we send two smaller vehicles if the lane to the house is tight. Begur is also a common wedding destination; see our wedding page for guest shuttles.
Going back
From Begur to Barcelona
We collect you at your villa or hotel and drive you to the airport, the city centre, Sants Station or the cruise port. On summer Sundays, allow for the slow climb out of the coves and traffic near Barcelona; the driver will suggest a pick-up time with margin.
