About an hour and a quarter on the motorway
Girona is on the main motorway north from Barcelona. From the airport the drive is usually around an hour and a quarter, and a little less from the city centre. Choose your starting point in the widget: the airport, the city centre, Sants Station or the cruise port.
This page is for trips between Barcelona and Girona city. If you are going on to the coast, choose your beach town directly as the destination; each one has its own fixed price.
The coast
From Blanes to Cadaqués, one fixed price
We drive the whole coast and the towns inland, always with Barcelona at the other end of the trip. Door to door, straight to your hotel, villa or campsite. Tap a town to see its page.

Train or private transfer
An honest comparison
The high-speed train from Sants to Girona is quick, and for one person with a small bag staying near the station it is hard to beat. From the airport, though, you need to get to Sants first, and from Girona station to your hotel.
A private transfer is the better choice when you land with luggage, travel as a family or a group, carry bicycles, or are staying in the old town or outside the city. It goes from the terminal to your door, at any hour, and its price is per vehicle.
Where we drop you off
Old town, new town and the hills
Barri Vell
The old quarter around the cathedral and the Jewish quarter. Traffic is restricted; we stop at the nearest allowed point and help with the luggage.
Eixample and the river
Hotels and apartments on the modern side of the river Onyar, near the station and the shopping streets.
University and Montilivi
Student residences and homes on the hill campus. Many students arrive with a lot of luggage at the start of the year.
Villages around Girona
Country houses and hotels in the surrounding villages. Give us the exact address when you book.
Who travels with us
Cyclists, students and city-break visitors
Girona is a base for many professional and amateur cyclists, and bike-trip groups arrive at El Prat with bike bags. Bicycles travel as special luggage: tell us how many when you book, so we assign a vehicle with room for them.
The city also receives students and visiting academics at the university, and visitors who come in spring for the flower festival, when the old town fills with flower displays.
