The drive
The shortest run from Barcelona to the Costa Brava
Of all the towns on this coast, Blanes is the one you reach first. From El Prat the drive usually takes a little over an hour, heading north past Barcelona and up the Maresme coast or along the inland motorway, depending on traffic at the time you land. You are on the beach before the coach would have left its second stop.
Your driver knows which approach works best at each hour. On summer Fridays and on Sunday evenings, the roads around Barcelona are slower, so a late-afternoon arrival can take longer than a morning one. The price does not change either way: it is fixed when you book.
The coast
From Blanes to Cadaqués, one fixed price
We drive the whole coast and the towns inland, always with Barcelona at the other end of the trip. Door to door, straight to your hotel, villa or campsite. Tap a town to see its page.

Where we drop you off
Blanes is longer than it looks
The town stretches for several kilometres, from the rocky point by the port to the mouth of the Tordera river. Give us the exact address when you book and we will take you to the door, not to a central stop.
Port and old town
The harbour, the promenade and the streets behind the main beach, close to the rock of Sa Palomera, the official start of the Costa Brava.
S’Abanell
The long, flat beach heading south, lined with hotels, apartments and several large campsites. Many visitors stay here.
Campsites
If your campsite restricts vehicles after a certain hour, we stop at reception and help you with the luggage to the gate.
Hillside and coves
The houses on the hill below the castle of Sant Joan and the small coves towards Lloret, such as Sant Francesc.
While you are there
Gardens above the sea and summer fireworks
Blanes has two botanical gardens on the cliffs, Marimurtra and Pinya de Rosa, and the view from Marimurtra over the cove of Sa Forcanera is one of the most photographed on the coast. In the afternoon you can watch the fishing boats come back into the port.
Every summer the town hosts an international fireworks competition, with displays fired over the bay on several nights. Those are busy evenings in Blanes: if your arrival or departure falls on one of them, tell us and we will plan the pick-up point with you.
Train, coach or private transfer
An honest comparison
Blanes does have a train station, but it is outside the town centre, and from the airport you need to change trains in Barcelona first. There is also a coach. Both work for a light traveller who is not in a hurry.
If you are a family with suitcases and pushchairs, a group sharing one vehicle, or you land late at night, a private transfer is the simpler option: one vehicle from the terminal to your door, no changes and no last stretch on foot. The price is per vehicle, not per person, so it is shared between everyone on board.
Going back
From Blanes to Barcelona Airport, the city or the port
We collect you at your hotel, apartment or campsite and drive you back to El Prat, Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, to the city centre, Sants Station or the cruise port. You can book the return together with your arrival or later from the beach, and with 24 hours’ notice or more you can change it or cancel it for free.
Before you book
What your price includes, and the rules in plain words
A fixed price, nothing hidden

Your driver waits in the arrivals hall of Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 with a sign showing your name.
Flight tracking
We follow your flight in real time. If it lands early or late, the pick-up moves with it.
Free waiting time
60 minutes at the airport, 30 minutes at the cruise port or Sants Station, and 15 minutes at hotels and any other address.
Free changes and cancellation
Free with 24 hours’ notice or more, with a full refund. Changes need at least 3 hours’ notice, or 8 hours at weekends, on public holidays and the day before them.
Online payment and invoice
You pay securely online when you book, and you receive a VAT invoice in your name or your company’s name.
Child seats on request
Tell us the children’s ages when you book and the seats are fitted before pick-up, for a small supplement.

Frequently asked questions
How long does it take from Barcelona Airport to Blanes?
Usually a little over an hour, depending on traffic. It is the closest Costa Brava town to Barcelona.
Do you drive to the campsites at S’Abanell?
Yes. We drive to any campsite in Blanes. If the site closes the gate to vehicles at night, we stop at reception.
Is it worth taking the train instead?
For one person with light luggage it can be. From the airport you change in Barcelona, and the Blanes station is outside the centre, so with children or suitcases a direct transfer is usually easier.
Does the price change with traffic?
No. The price is fixed when you book and includes tolls and the luggage you declare.
Where will the driver meet me at the airport?
In the arrivals hall of your terminal, T1 or T2, with a sign showing your name. You have 60 minutes of free waiting.
Can I book the return from Blanes later?
Yes, whenever you like. Many people book both directions at once and change the time later if their plans move.
