The drive
Just under two hours, door to door
From the airport the route is motorway most of the way, then the roads across the Baix Empordà plain to the coast. Palamós is usually about an hour and three quarters away, Calella de Palafrugell a few minutes more. Choose your exact village in the widget to see its fixed price.
The last few kilometres to Calella, Llafranc and Tamariu are narrow roads down to the sea. They are easy in the morning and slow on summer evenings, when everyone heads to the coves for dinner.
The coast
From Blanes to Cadaqués, one fixed price
We drive the whole coast and the towns inland, always with Barcelona at the other end of the trip. Door to door, straight to your hotel, villa or campsite. Tap a town to see its page.

Where we drop you off
From the harbour to the smallest coves
Port and town
Hotels and apartments around the fishing harbour, the main beach and the old town on the point.
La Fosca and S’Alguer
The sheltered bay north of Palamós and the cove of S’Alguer, with its old fishermen’s huts.
Calella and Llafranc
Calella’s Port Bo and its arches, and the bay of Llafranc next door, below the lighthouse of Sant Sebastià.
Tamariu
The smallest of the three bays, at the end of a pine-covered road. Quiet, and with very little parking.
While you are there
Red prawns, havaneres and summer concerts
Palamós is a working fishing port, known for its red prawns and its fishing museum by the harbour. Calella de Palafrugell is famous for the havaneres, sea songs brought back from Cuba, sung on the beach of Port Bo on a summer evening, and for the concerts in the gardens of Cap Roig, just above the village.
Those nights fill the roads around Calella. If you come from Barcelona for a concert and need to get back, book the return for after the show and tell us; we will agree a pick-up point away from the closed streets.
Good to know
Small streets, little parking
Calella, Llafranc and Tamariu were built for fishing boats, not for cars. In high season some lanes near the beaches are closed to traffic, and minibuses cannot reach every door. Give us the exact address when you book: we choose the right vehicle and, if needed, agree the nearest drop-off point with you in advance.
