Two ways into Tossa
Tossa is about an hour and a half from Barcelona Airport. Most of the trip is motorway; the last stretch can be done in two ways, and your driver chooses depending on traffic, the time of day and the size of the vehicle.
The GI-682 cliff road
From Lloret the road climbs above the sea and winds along the cliffs to Tossa. Beautiful views and plenty of bends: tell us if anyone gets car-sick.
Via Llagostera
The inland road through the woods from Llagostera avoids the cliff bends and is often the calmer choice with small children or a minibus.

Arriving in Tossa
As close to the Vila Vella as vehicles go
The Vila Vella, the medieval walled town on the headland, has narrow streets closed to traffic, and the lanes around the main beach are busy in summer. We drop you at the nearest point to your hotel or apartment, and your driver helps you with the luggage.
Staying outside the village? The coves north of Tossa, such as Cala Giverola and Cala Pola, have hotels, apartments and campsites at the end of steep side roads off the coastal road to Sant Feliu. Give us the exact address and we will plan the vehicle so it can get down and back up.
Good to know
A small village with a big summer
Tossa is small, and in July and August its access roads are busy at weekends, especially the coastal road from Lloret in the late afternoon. If you have a flight to catch on a summer Saturday or Sunday, leave some margin; your driver will suggest a pick-up time that allows for it.
Out of season Tossa is quiet and many people come for walks on the coastal paths and the views from the lighthouse above the walls. The transfer works the same all year round, at any hour.
Coach or private transfer
An honest comparison
Tossa has no train. A coach runs from Barcelona with a limited number of departures a day and stops at the bus station, at the top of the town, so you still walk down with your bags. For a light traveller with a flexible plan it is an option.
A private transfer leaves when your flight lands and stops at your door, and for a family or a group the price of one vehicle is shared between everyone. It is also the only simple option for very early or very late flights.

From Tossa back to Barcelona

A fixed price, nothing hidden
The price you confirm includes tolls and the luggage you book, and it does not change with traffic. Only extras you ask for on the day, such as an extra stop or extra waiting, are agreed with the driver before setting off.
Meet and greet at arrivals
Your driver waits in the arrivals hall of Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 with a sign showing your name.
Flight tracking
We follow your flight in real time. If it lands early or late, the pick-up moves with it.
Free waiting time
60 minutes at the airport, 30 minutes at the cruise port or Sants Station, and 15 minutes at hotels and any other address.
Free changes and cancellation
Free with 24 hours’ notice or more, with a full refund. Changes need at least 3 hours’ notice, or 8 hours at weekends, on public holidays and the day before them.
