The drive
About an hour and a half from the terminal
The route runs on the motorway out of Barcelona and then through the Aro valley, past Santa Cristina d’Aro, down to the coast. It is usually just over an hour and a half. In July and August, the last kilometres into Platja d’Aro are slow on weekend evenings, when half the coast comes to its shopping streets.
Your driver knows the side entrances to the resort and chooses the one closest to your hotel, so you do not have to circle the one-way streets around the main avenue.
The coast
From Blanes to Cadaqués, one fixed price
We drive the whole coast and the towns inland, always with Barcelona at the other end of the trip. Door to door, straight to your hotel, villa or campsite. Tap a town to see its page.

Where we drop you off
Four different places with one name
Platja d’Aro centre
The main beach, the promenade and the hotels and apartments around the shopping avenue.
S’Agaró
The garden village of the 1920s on the headland, with its coastal path, large houses and a few hotels.
Cala Rovira and Sa Conca
The coves between S’Agaró and Platja d’Aro, with apartments and holiday homes a short walk from the sand.
Castell d’Aro and the valley
The old village with its castle just inland, and the homes and golf courses towards Santa Cristina d’Aro.
While you are there
Shopping streets, coastal paths and two golf courses
Platja d’Aro lives on its beach and its long shopping avenue, busy from spring to autumn, and it is known for one of the largest carnival parades in Catalonia in winter. S’Agaró is the opposite: a planned garden village with a coastal path that runs along the rocks to Sant Pol beach.
Two golf courses are a few minutes inland, which is why many golfers stay here. For golf groups, see our golf page: bags take more space than suitcases and we plan the vehicle for them.
Coach or private transfer
An honest comparison
There is no train to Platja d’Aro. The coach from Barcelona takes longer than the drive and stops at the bus station, which is not where most hotels are. A private transfer goes from the terminal to your door; for a family or a group sharing one vehicle, it is usually the easier way to start the holiday.
Going back
From Platja d’Aro to Barcelona
We collect you at your hotel, apartment or villa and take you back to the airport, the city centre, Sants Station or the cruise port. If you are leaving on a summer Sunday, allow some margin for traffic; the driver will suggest a pick-up time that does.
Before you book
What your price includes, and the rules in plain words
A fixed price, nothing hidden
The price you confirm includes tolls and the luggage you book, and it does not change with traffic. Only extras you ask for on the day, such as an extra stop or extra waiting, are agreed with the driver before setting off.
Meet and greet at arrivals
Your driver waits in the arrivals hall of Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 with a sign showing your name.
Flight tracking
We follow your flight in real time. If it lands early or late, the pick-up moves with it.
Free waiting time
60 minutes at the airport, 30 minutes at the cruise port or Sants Station, and 15 minutes at hotels and any other address.
Free changes and cancellation
Free with 24 hours’ notice or more, with a full refund. Changes need at least 3 hours’ notice, or 8 hours at weekends, on public holidays and the day before them.
Online payment and invoice
You pay securely online when you book, and you receive a VAT invoice in your name or your company’s name.
Child seats on request
Tell us the children’s ages when you book and the seats are fitted before pick-up, for a small supplement.
